FAQ

Q: What do I need to wear?
A: A simple t-shirt, jogging bottoms or trousers along with comfortable trainers is all you need to get yourself going, but if attending on a regular basis you are encouraged to wear the official PKMLT-shirt available for purchase.

Q: Do I need any specialized equipment to train?
A: No specialized equipment is needed to train, but again if you are looking to train on a regular basis students are advised to purchase arm, shin and groin guards along with grappling gloves. All other equipment needed will be provided for by PKML at each lesson.

It is also a good idea to bring water along with you to lessons.

Q: Do we learn to defend against knives?
A: PKML syllabus covers a multitude of threats including defending against knives, sticks, bottles and guns.

Q: Do I need to have a martial arts back ground before I start Pure Krav Maga?
A: No, not at all, although it is a advantage, Pure Krav Maga is a system that is designed so that it is easy to learn, remember and execute, no matter what your previous martial experience.

Q: Do I need to be supper fit to train?
A: People have different fitness levels and therefore we ask each student to train as hard as they can or want to push themselves, although we encourage all students to work hard to get the best out of each session, Pure Krav Maga is not about being supper fit.

Sessions are fairly laid back with a friendly atmosphere, if students need to take a break then so be it, no pressure or ill feeling.

Q: Do you teach private classes?
A: Yes, private classes are available – please email us at info@pure-kravmaga.co.uk for more information.

Q: Is there anything else I should bring on the day?
A: A bottle of water (or other re-hydrating fluid) is a must! Drinking water throughout the session is expected and encouraged. A towel to wipe your sweat off is also a good idea.
